Chris Cheyette is a best selling award-winning author for the Carbs & Cals series of health books and app. He divides his work between the NHS, working as a Diabetes Specialist Dietitian, and running an independent publishing business. Chris is passionate about food and health. Since qualifying as a dietitian he has worked on a number of educational projects to help people living with a variety of long-term health conditions, such as diabetes. The impact of what we eat and how it affects the individual, and the planet, is an area that Chris has become increasingly interested in. In part this has been sparked by his voluntary work with Foodcycle, a national food waste charity. And also due to the fact he is married to a sustainability blogger.
This is Chris’s first speaking appearance at a festival. More used to presenting at national conferences, to health care professionals, or doing radio and TV interviews. The talk will cover how we can impact each stage of the food chain and the benefits for our own health and that of the planet. Chris promises this will be a fun interactive and educational talk. Giant seeds, flying penis’s and the promise of some sparkly leggings make this a must see Saturday afternoon activity.
